Three things turkey:
1. How nice the house smells all day when roasting a turkey, and all the associated goodies.
2. Sitting at the table before things are served anticipating the meal.
3. Sitting at the table after eating enjoying that stuffed feeling, and realizing that there will be leftovers for days to come.

Bad thing turkey: Forgetting to FULLY clean out the coffee grinder after using it to grind your turkey herbs and waking up to the smell of turkey flavored coffee. Oops!
Hope it was a good one!
I've never cooked a turkey. I don't eat them myself, but the idea of the anticipation and then feeling replete. That's the best thing about a good meal with friends and family. I'm looking forward to Christmas dinner. :)
I like the anticipating part. How about apple pie? I went to Colorado and baked a pie for my friend's family and the smell in the house was almost as good as eating it. Thanks for stopping by my blog last week.
Another thing turkey is all the marvellous things that go with it. Here it's a Christmas thing and we have Brussels sprouts and chestnuts and red cabbage and cranberry sauce and bread sauce and roast potatoes and croquettes potatoes and parsnips and gravy and little sausages and two kinds of stuffing. You could forget to serve the turkey and barely notice.
