I've written about Dr. Hammargren before, about how I much admire his collections (and would love to have a Statue of Liberty arm sticking over my back wall). He had another of his annual open houses last Sunday, and someone posted a few minutes of video taken around his place. (now what would my wife say if . . . )

Very interesting! Some of these exhibits look like they could have been created by Salvador Dali, one of my favorite artists. Is this in a private residence?
Did a Wikipedia search on this guy... eccentric is just one word (of many) to describe his life.
He basically collects things. He purchased houses on either side of his, attached them together, and fills in. He has old casino signs, the roller coaster from the top of the Stratosphere, a full working planetarium, statues, a gondola from the Venetian, a space shuttle look alike, an old working bear band from an old pizza parlor, and just about anything else he sees that he likes, usually large things.
Hmmmm, you're gonna have to work hard if you want to catch up to his collection.
How cool!
I hope you had a good weekend!
