Venetian Spring

I went over to visit some friends at the Sands last Monday. The lobby and meeting room area has had a big makeover, but the convention floors are still the same. This is G hall, downstairs with a lot of support pillars to hold the upper levels, but still large at around 750,00 square feet (70,000 sq. meters)

Over at the connection of the Venetian and the Palazzo it’s decorated for Spring. B likes the big cherry blossoms falling down into the fountains.

There is a big pink tree to the side

And out front the gondolas still travel the water.

Monday was sunny and around 62f (17c) supposed to be up around 90 today and this weekend (32c), a little warm for March but much appreciated

I love the big cherry blossoms too !
Some very creative thinking. Although it is not time for viewing Cherry Blossoms in Japan yet.
How lovely that you can just mosey over and look at these wonderful displays.

cheers, parsnip

The cherry blossoms are so pretty. Love the panorama shot. Yay! Spring. Much better than here, heading into Winter. I won't say Autumn as I'm still not quite convinced it exists where I am. Sunday was around 34C and it's supposed to be Autumn. Today is 27C and then one night you will notice that you need a jacket if you go outside, blink and it's getting to 3C overnight and 10C during the day. :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I can't imagine weather as warm as you have it currently but I am a born and bred Wisconsin-ite, so this is what I know. This year is ROUGH though, and it snowed a bunch again today. Everyone is crabby and over it! Peace out, winter!

This is a beautiful hotel and the illusion of the blue skies is fascinating. I have enjoyed some excellent cuisine here as well.

Love the gondolas Joe, we're still a little too hot for autumn also here in Perth, although today it was a fab 25C, perfect!
