Our garden is blooming, and we've picked a lot of tomatoes over the past few weeks, but it looks like that's the end of those for a few months. Tomatoes don't set fruit when it's too hot, and it looks like this weekend will be the start of our hot period, which usually comes the last two weeks of July, but 118f (48c) is predicted for tomorrow. We also put a few of these back there, which seem to be a good symbol of Las Vegas, especially this weekend.

Along with some of our clear blue sky.

So purdy !
I would love to plant some but they would be eaten in a second !
No blue sky today for us, the smoke from the New Mexico fires have covered Tucson.
It is super hot here too. I have put lots of water out and a parade of bird, chipmunks, squirrels and bunny have been visiting le chez parsnip.

cheers, parsnip

We hit 101 degrees here in town today - a rarity , for sure. I would be just fine if it were to cool down to ,oh, say , 90 degrees or even 85.

Goodness me Joe, 48C..phew that's hot even by our standards. The sunflowers are perfect for that climate and look spectacular..I guess there will be a lot of swimming going on around your place :)
