Groundhog Day

Yesterday was Groundhog Day – I understand that we only have six more weeks of winter? Evidently this news has lead to a lot of assorted articles on this ‘holiday’. Several of them tie back to the 1993 Bill Murray movie of the same name, where he keeps repeating Groundhog Day over and over again. One of my favorite characters from the film was Ned, the insurance salesman.

In review of the film, Simon Gallagher evaluated just how many days that Bill was stuck in the same day loop, and his estimate is just under thirty four years. Wow, no wonder he had such a confusing time.

Wow. 34 years. Imagine spending that much time in a single loop.

Also imagine spending all that time working that out. :)

I loved that movie. I think we've seen it like 4 times...kind of a Groundhog Day all in itself.

I loved that show but I got so sick of the Sonny & Cher song that I never wanted to hear it again.

Hope you had a good weekend!

I loved the movie. Ned was a funny character but I think if I were stuck in the cycle, I would have killed the bastard!
